Richard,

My buy was Thursday. I first put in an order at C.30 even though the ask was .35. After a while I figured that for 1500 shares the few dollars wasn't worth not filling so I switched to market and it went though immediately at .35 (for which I was billed $US.25). I assume, but can't be sure, that a limit order at C.35 would have filled as easily. Yesterday (afer my order was registered) the ask was raised to C$.40. So its may be my fault that your US.25/C.35 order was not filled.

But the real point is that there is nothing about the Canotc that should prevent any American from trading (except that they'll pay a bit more to keep the exchange officials and the middleman in $800 suits).
