I'm going to have to defer that one to Hamby. I believe he has a good understanding and probably use of their equipment. Look back a few posts and send a message to Hamby. He'll be able to help you out.

FRANK PARSONS: I had the opportunity to send 2 of my staff out to San Diego a couple of weeks ago to visit Dinet which is the manufacturing subsidary of Wireless Data. We were not impressed with their facility or the state of their design HOWEVER, it actually works and is accepted in a narrow end-user area (CON/AG & Ready-Mix).

Where we are used to a high degree of sophistication in manufacturing such as surface mount, place & pick lines etc., etc., we encountered thru-hole and soldering iron based production. The upside is that this very style of manufacturing line (cost of labor & facility) is what allows them to compete and hold 20% of the market in their nitch!

The current design is at least 1 if not 2 generations behind current product art (again thru-hole, designed in 1992). They are completing a surface-mount design DataMate that incorporates CDPD AND VOICE (Oops!). We think this design using software that is field proven for the last 5/6 years is going to launch them into General Fleet Management as a real player. This should give them a potential market consisting of any fleet operators less than the big guys (the J.B. Hunts or Schniders) that are the target of Qualcomm or Highway Master.

By the way, my company is evaluating their product (DM1000 with CDPD & VOICE) for use with our product which is an onboard computer system (RoadRider) for commercial fleets.

We are visiting an end-user site today and tomorrow in MD that is using 58 of the CDPD devices. Yes, it seems to work -- and quite well if one listens to current customer management. After all, it has been in the field since 1992/3.

We are happy with their prospects for future orders and if all goes well in MD will probable attempt to negotiate an ongoing development/marketing relationship.

Regards,

Hamby Hutcheson

News out this morning.

LEESBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 28, 1998--Wireless Data Solutions Inc., (OTC BB:SOLU - news), announced Tuesday that it has completed the development of a new cellular product for its Data Mate mobile data terminals allowing the transmission of data over standard voice analog cellular networks.

The company's terminals can also transmit data over CDPD (Cellular Digital Packet Data), as well as traditional two-way radio frequencies.

Mike McLaughlin, CEO and president of Wireless Data Solutions said: ''The new cellular product was developed based on the market potential and many requests from customers. Regarding CDPD, the infrastructure is still being put in place by a consortium of cellular providers, and is not available in many parts of the country. It was designed to send short bursts of information or packets of data. Two-way radio has been around for years, but is limited by distance of about 40 miles. Having the capability to use cellular voice networks to transmit data opens up tremendous markets for our mobile fleet management products coast to coast and internationally.''

As an option, the company's terminals can be fitted with a hand set so cellular voice communications can be available. Other options that can be used on the various communication networks are GPS receivers, credit card and bar code readers, and printers. The company also offers a GPS only product that can operate over two-way radio, CDPD and cellular voice using the company's tracking software for vehicle location.

Wireless Data Solutions Inc. is a hardware/software developer and marketing company involving digital wireless communications systems for mobile fleet management in the U.S. and foreign countries.

Statements in this news release about the company's expectations involving the receipt of orders for its products and product potential are ''forward looking statements'' within the meaning of Sections 27A and 21E of the Securities Act of 1933 and 1934.
