Take your profits!!! Don't buy a stock that you wouldn't mind holding for 10 years!!! The money I lost in 1997 was caused (believe it or not) from not taking a profit in WDC.. That is so stupid!! Since that event.. I only trade for a couple of days.. either long or short and I exit a trade when it goes against me.. unlike the motley fool method of investing.. my method is defensive.. with top priority given to protecting my trading account balance. At least with this "Chicken trading strategy" I'll live to play another day.. I don't feel like I need to be in the market.. I let the broker pay me 4% on the cash balance.. that's better than being margined and vulnerable.. IMHO...
