Good Afternoon John,

Here is the latest response which Intel gave me regarding my letter of concern.

I agree and I am not a fan of Kurlak. But in the U. S. it's called free speech. He can write whatever he wants; there's nothing we can do.
He gets the same input from us that all the other analysts do. If you have an account at Merrill, please write the CEO a letter and tell him
you will close your account if they don't shut him down. He writes nasty notes every week and until there is growth in the PC market we
will most likely have to endure this. Or, if he turns out wrong, maybe a class action suit against Merrill would stop him. Rumor was he was
going to leave Merrill, but I hear he didn't take the job.

We have some of the best leadership and management in the world. Intel seems to have always traded at a discount. We plan on spending $3B on R & D and $5B on cap exp. so this holds our multiple down. We have made some excellent progress on our P/E over the last several years, but we still have a ways to go.

Alex

I think Merrill Lynch better get rid of Tom Kurlac or people will start selling Mer's stock.

Have a nice weekend.

Best Regards
Frank
