See everyone in Spring 99 at $50.What a great way to end a century. To be invested on the cutting edge of the next revolution-IP Telephony. It has sure been a long time since Babe Ruth hit 60 hrs in 1927(154 games season).Think how the world was then.
Edison had just developed the talking movie and the incandescent light bulb.Air travel was in its infancy. The train was king. Most folks still lived on the farm and many rode a horse to town for groceries or came in a wagon.Oh well ,"One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh;but the earth abideth forever...The sun also ariseth..."Ecclesiastes.

another interesting attribute will be to surf the web via voice recognition through this technology, youve seen the commercial "i talk and it types", well, pretty soon you will see "i talk and it goes where i tell it, it performs what i tell it to. when all the digital technologies are introduced permanently world wide, it will explode in a hurry. the aha-american hospital association, just rendered a new rule for all hospitals. they will have to get rid of tv's, phones, and any other technology that works via waves of that form. this is to prevent the disruption of heart monitors, ultrasound units, ekg machines and so forth. pretty soon, doctors from around the world will be able to charge patients for assisting on a surgery without even being there, via telephony and other digital assistance. this will be absolutely huge. people on this thread have thrown out growth numbers and potential for telephony and its like, but noone really knows for sure because the applications and all it will affect is not entirely known yet, not just billions but trillions. so to say that telephony will be like ibm was for pc's is maybe even underestimated because it required an initial purchase and constant upgrades. telephony on the other hand will be constantly uprgraded by the likes of dgiv to keep their customers happy and stay ahead of competitors. so the race is on to get exclusivity agreements in countries who dont allow easy access. the likes of AT&T and mci have already approached indonesia and russia with telephony and were denied. these countries will not want to be held captive by corporate giants but rather smaller companies like dgiv that they feel are far less threatening and much more willing to allow the govt to maintain some sembelance of control. like i said earlier, govt's dont own the phone companies in most cases, but you can certainly be sure that they control them and who gets in or not. just getting access to these different countries is half the battle, and that seems to be where jimmy is excelling. the line lease agreements and central unit controllers will follow very quickly. most of the pacific rim countries are used to dealing with a very limited amount of players in a particular arena, ie telephony. their agreements will be much more reliable versus the free trade arenas like you have here in the states where any company can approach anybody about business at will, without permission most of the time. in indonesia per say, you cant even get a meeting let alone approach the govt about a business adventure. i have several friends in international trade businesses and they say the biggest hurdle is simply access. in china, you cant even try to get a meeting for most nationally regulated commerces, you have to be invited to a meeting. so as you can see jimmy is already winning 3/4 of the battle. and after we get on jakarta and nasdaq(sooner than most think), it will create an international atmosphere or flavor for dgiv which enhances its opportunities all that much more.

sorry for the long post, just bored after getting rained out from fishing.
