First they have to find out exactly where the problems lie, (the TAVA diagnosis), then they can decide how to deal with it.

The hardware may not be available.

As I'm sure all are aware, it's more than replacing a chip or a PC. See my previous post. SCADA systems are tightly integrated. In the case of the doomed thermocoupling, the sensor, the chip and the driver (that interfaces with the valve motor) must all be replaced. The company that makes the equipment DOES NOT HAVE CAPACITY TO MEET THE DEMAND. (double and double yoi !!!!). They have back orders into 2001.

P.S. For those interested, I'm dd'ing the valve mfr and will post if I think it's a good buy.
