My experience has been that HIGH volume is ALWAYS good (i.e., up
or down....

My own experience with investing is very limited (less than a year), so I am happy to defer to yours, especially since I would like you to be right on this point.

My biggest lagger, TDW, has high volume (Telescan ranks it in the 86th percentile), low momentum (39th percentile), and NO (meaning ZERO) long-term and short-term technical strength. In short, it has been going steadily down ever since November. Looking at an ordinary performance chart, you can see little jags upwards from time to time, but each time TDW falls back to a lower level, and so on, down, down, down...on high volume. That's good, you say?

Hmmm...
