The bid will need to be $4+ for (I think) 30 days before NASDAQ will list. NYSE does not (to my knowledge) have a stated minimum, but being a prestige exchange, listing costs and standards would be much higher.

big float is relative... MSFT's float is 1.56 billion out of 2.43 billion shares. But if your company is doing $13.1 billion in sales, it isn't a concern. GLOW's 46 million isn't small, but if they can post a $.25 EPS, it's not a problem either. GLOW certainly won't move as fast as a 200K float posting the same numbers, but remember that that company would be much smaller (even than Global Games) and would have even harder odds stacked against it's expansion, leading to a generally lower PE ratio.

All the above being my understanding. Still learning most of this myself and I could be wrong.
