FDC Heavy accumulation on FDC at close yesterday on a strong base. One other item of note is that Western Union obtained an exclusive, worldwide, license to use technology developed by Electronic Data Systems (EDS) that enables consumer initiated cash and cash equivalent transfers through ATM machines. By itself this could develop into a very significant operation, but because it appears that the United States government will require electronic funds transfer for their recurring payments, this service, when fully operational, could be very important to Western Union, and therefore First Data. ls
