Jack,

You are right Dell does buy back shares to the tune of 1.5 bil. according to the fortune article posted on this thread. I think cpq should use some of their cash to buy back their shares unless they, of course, do not believe in the fundamentals of their co. What better way to benefit from your co's stock appreciation than to use the ton of excess cash to invest in cpq, deliver the products, reap more cash, grow the co and use excess cash to continuosly buy back more shares. Dell does this beautifully. I do not own dell. I own CPQ, but I like what they do and by nature I am happy for the success of others as opposed to jealousy. Let us hope CPQ will reward us in the same way and go out and legitimately buy back their shares with all these cash if they really believe in cpq. To me, that is the difference in like put your money where your mouth is. Peace.

Compaq has bought back shares in the past so has DELL. Dell is not buying back now at these levels is all I'm saying.
