It's a Y2K solution which users are now being faced to make, when they weren't planning to upgrade to W98. What will be interesting is to see how corporations react when faced with decision to upgrade, like-it-or-not, or be non-compliant with Y2k. If corporations accept this, they will not only acquiesce, but will open the floodgates to have to accept upgrades from all other vendors in order to be compliant. As to NT 5.0, these same corporations have a choice with Netware and the native NT implementation. Everyone keeps waiting for the DOJ to address the issue, when the solution lies more with the consumer. IMO.
