I have to think the earnings will be released before the bell, and that Noam will be discussing these numbers on the CNBC program. As I recall, last year the favorite time for MRVC to release earnings was on a Monday, before the opening of trading - although I think the most recent numbers (4th quarter) were released after the close. MRV may have been planning to release after the close this time, but possibly decided to make it before the opening bell in order to feature the numbers on the CNBC program. Hopefully it will be Mark Haines doing the interviewing, as he has shown himself to be very knowledgeable about MRV in the past. Also, I would think that Noam's willingness to appear on the show could be an indication that the numbers will be good. I feel it's always positive when Noam and MRV are featured. This is still a small company (on a revenue basis), largely unknown to the public. Those appearances on CNBC and in the IBD commercials seem like a good way to draw attention to MRV.

Does anyone recall the IBD article of several years ago in which (if I'm remembering this correctly) Noam said MRV's goal was to achieve $200 million revenue in 1998? At the time, the annual revenue was under $50 million. Seemed a very ambitious goal then, but looks almost assured now. I continue to be impressed with the achievements at MRVC, year after year.
