<<big software projects fail big time. Can you offer ANY experience to the contrary?>>

Yes. Big software projects fail all the time. Big projects of any sort may fail. Big software projects also succeed...I'm typing this message in an application that was developed in a big project.

Date fields change, zip code fields change, area codes change, databases change, currencies change. Gosh...thanks for pointing out the obvious Mr. Jones.

Software and software developers adapt. They have been doing so since the dawn of the age of computing. There is nothing magical about the Y2K "problem" except that it has captured the popular imagination due to its tie-in with the new millenium.

Have you heard of Eudora? One of the best e-mail software programs out there and they are going to enter the Year 2000 with NO problems.

I used Eudora Pro 4.0 and I love it.

Here is a link to their response on Y2K:

Just another company that is NOT going to have a problem with the roll over to the year 2000.
