Ed: If I can add my 2 cents here. ATT spun off Lucent as a new public company and with an IPO. FTEL spun off FNET as a separate but wholly owned subsidiary with no public shares. You own just as much of FNET this month as you did last month. The BIG difference is, you now own a part of two companies, each concentrating on thier own destiny. As soon as FNET gets the DVG's operational, they will be known as an Internet telephony company, not as a part of a hardware company. Hope this explains.
