I do not think you should compare MSFT with IBM and Sony, they are in a completely different
business environment, so the PE given by the street will be different. If the PC business continues to
grow , and which I believe so, MSFT will
surely grow, but not necessary for IBM. Because IBM has more competitors than MSFT in their
respective business. So, with a PE of 60 , it is acceptable for MSFT, but not IBM or DELL


Certainly the correct PE for MSFT is higher than for either IBM or Sony. The point is the market PE is nearer the correct PE for the latter two than for MSFT.
