Y'know Charles,.... I think this whole concept of Global warming due to carbon dioxide and Bovine Methane is a bunch of bunk. The evidence is scanty, inconclusive, but popular when you have an El Nino winter with little snow. If anything the evidence would indicate that the planet is growing ever so slightly colder. But since we don't have enough data collected on the shifts in weather extremes over hundreds of years, it is hard to say either way. Many would think that having more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere would be a GOOD thing since so many plants require it to flourish. Methane?? Well, no one seems to take into account the amount of methane gases that are spewed forth from volcanic eruptions. And besides, Bovine emissions are only one additional source of methane. I know a few people who probably should have an environmental impact study begun ON THEM... <wink> However, the issue of Ozone depletion is still up in the air in my mind and one of the most consequence should the situation worsen... But again, blame those nasty tectonic events we call volcanoes for much destruction of our pristine atmosphere. What is far more dangerous is the destruction of enormous amounts of rain forest for short-term agricultural use. This is inanity since the soil in a rain-forest is naturally poor and once you remove the trees, you are effectively "mining" the soil of it minerals. Disrupt the death and decay wherein replacement of those minerals occur, and you have land that becomes agriculturally worthless within 3-4 plantings. I'll climb off my soap box now.... <wink> Regards, Ron
