Welcome to SI, I tend to agree with your assessment. BTW, do you believe that Nikon and ASML will allow UTEK to have a core business? It seems the big boys did a pretty good job bringing mix and match tools online in last couple of years for semiconductors? What about the head business, will Nikon, ASML leave it alone?
TIA

Thank you for your very detailed response. You make some very valid and some very serious points within your response. I will have to go back and discuss each of these concerns with my litho contacts at UTEK, MOT, NSM, Fairchild, and a few others. Much of my comments were directed to the responses I received from my SEMATECH buddies.

I am distressed to hear that the DUV systems are not more recent than what you list in your response.

What I think would be best at this juncture is take your comments as gospel and let me do my Research on this subject.

Andrew

I cannot get it out of my head that the new lenses being produced are of much higher quality as a result of the NASA funding for the space telescope. Are you really sure they are the identical lenses and not a new generation of lenses. I really believe that SVGI and ISI have a common lens provider that has move forward.
