With the PC/TV convergence close at hand I think we will see major alliances being formed between TV Networks(content providers),Web Directories/Search Engines and Browsers(gateways), Cableco's and Teleco's(access providers).

Each Alliance will offer similar products and services but with different corporate partners(advertisers)

Obviously only a small number of major alliances will evolve which will dominate the landscape - the same way TV Networks do today.

Time will be a key element in that all the major players will want to have their alliances set up in time for the convergence of the PC/TV
rollout.

One can then envision AT&T,Netscape,Infoseek forming alliances now.MCI has already formed an alliance with YHOO.
