It would be best if Summit and Visx can breakup PPP on their own, and then settle with the FTC without any fine or admission of wrongdoing. Then both Visx and Summit could rise to much higher P/E's since the FTC would be off their back. The other lawsuits would also have less merit as well if the FTC matter is cleared up. If PPP is broken up, certainly both companies could make money off of their patents through licensing others as well as from their own machines.

As we know Visx is willing to breakup PPP, but Summit wants to fight to keep it. Or they want Visx to give Summit multiple millions to agree to split up PPP. Visx doesn't feel obliged to pay Summit anything. However, in my opinion Visx may be willing to forgive the machine royalties of $4.5 million it is owed if Summit will agree. The lawsuit on the $4.5 million is scheduled for May.
