I had one experience early on that really stung. FutureSuper"Slugs" recommended GPXM (which may do well years from now) at around $4. I got in, and earned a $5k write-off by 31Dec97.

Since then I'm really careful to watch a while, or do heavy DD, before plunging.

A real key is to write to the "advisor" - and suggest a stock. If they come back with a "do you represent the co? &/or "we can help you for $$" - you can bet you've located an el-Primo pump&dumper.

See ya! :-)
