It may be easier to find a hot link to Bondage than predicting the future of KLIC's bonders. ;-) e.g. - you could always search through the newsgroups for something like alt.bondage or alt.sex.bondage or whatever. Yes, KLIC bought American Fine Wire a couple years ago which sells wire used by bonders. They also have another sub which make the blades used to slice the wafers. Another joint venture was done with Delco to set up a Flip Chip ECM. From their last annual report I concluded that rumours of the death of wire bonding were a little premature. Ian.
