Curtis,

I'll say it's crazy out there. Excellent site you pointed me to. I've bookmarked it for future reference. Thanks,

Frank

Curtis, for a sense of Gilder's thoughts, I suggest you read that part of his body of work that is on his web site at www.gildertech.com An archive of his Telecosm series in Forbes magazine is at forbes.com

Archives from his monthly Gilder Technology Report (up to October 1997) is at gildertech.com More current issues are by subscription (about $250/year).

As others have stated, George Gilder is a globally respected observer of the technology field, and has for several years focused heavily upon the Net, wireless and particularly the impact of fiberoptics. His writing is not easy reading, and it is not oriented towards securities analysis. It is oriented towards his views of the technologies that will be successful in the future, and the companies that have leading positions in that technology.

He remarked upon Level Three in the Gilder Tech Report in three issues of 1998: III 2,3,and 4 Those are not yet available except by subscription, but it has been his practice to include some of his GTR content in his Forbes ASAP column about 6-8 weeks after it appears in GTR. ASAP is Forbes' technology supplement sent to subscribers six times a year. An exceptionally valuable publication not available on newstands.

One may disagree with him, but please dismiss his thoughts only after becoming familiar with them and forming an informed opinion. I have followed him for many years. He has always struck me as informed, insightful and visionary.

But you should form your own opinion. All I suggest is that you read his material first.

Doug (a GTR and Forbes subscriber; no position in LVLT)
