irby,

So you don't think that the retracement from the peak experienced by all 4 major search players last week is any indication of change in trend or a rotation out of the sector. We all made a lot of money last week playing the extraordinary rise in other internet stocks.

We all know that MM's and their large clients, holding long positions in stocks, will tend to have their analyist upgrade, and visa/versa, especially if they are getting ready to sell. Whether they are right or wrong, they always have an out when criticized.

I pulled the daily charts of YHOO, XCIT, SEEK and LCOS. They are almost exactly alike for the past two weeks. One week straight up and the next almost straight down. Does this indicate that there is some management by the larger interests? It appears that it is very difficult at this time to tell whether it goes up-down-or sideways. I think that the big boys are rotating out of the sector. I guess we will see. The little guys still love SEEK.

If SEEK does get with NSCP, how do you see SEEK's chance of surviving should NSCP continue to get hurt by MSFT. Will MSFT look unkindly on SEEK if they align with NSCP or does it matter. There are those that think that MSFT will eventually bury NSCP as has evidently been their agenda for sometime.

I guess I'm not so much concerned with the Broader Averages but with the sector rotations. I heard on a chat site that there are significant shorts in SEEK. What does this mean?

Thank you for any comments.
