Thanks for the response. I thought the problem in 97 was more of a gross over-supply/manufacturing of hdd by the hdd makers (not a slowing in the growth in demand) and then dumping those drives in the market (ie SEG). When I was talking about component makers, I was thinking more along the lines of HTCH, KMAG, INVX, etc. It seems to me that at least the units sold will increase at a healthy rate, albeit slower growth than the last few years.
