significant shorts is a good thing for longs. If you look at a chart of YHOO it has not broken. The other three had huge run ups and have experienced profit taking. All the street assumes SEEK ran up for no reason therefore the common wisdom is SELL/SHORT. Now the rumors of deals(NSCP,AT&T) start to come out and the BIG volume and price run up make more sense. If the street is wrong(which they are longer term more often than not)there could be BIG short covering. No argument that these stocks are sky high, the only question is will they go higher before they go lower? The time element in this game is key. If the players in PC/TV convergence think that the time is NOW to make deals this sector will go ALOT higher.
