So here's the sixty-four dollar question: what products, other than computers, could fit Dell's manufacturing profile?

Chuzzlewit,
Hi!!! Interesting topic for Dell managemt.....why change anything though when you are the best at what you do...other than improving on the existing model? You imply that Dell is not a true tech company but a combination of quite a few companies..correctly you state re: speed of delivery....which IMO is so important....yet we tend to understate this in our discussions.. one of the articles in Fortune portrays this as a huge advantage for Dell...speaking of the articles....I find them to be some of the best I've read....the future looks clearer and clearer with each new release about the company....and more importantly...I find the picture on the cover of Michael to be such a telling photo.....I have received two copies from Jeanne Lee of Fortune...sent them yesterday....when they are released on the news stands.........check out the cover!!!! Check out that smile....it means so much to us all....The cover states: "IS MICHAEL DELL UNSTOPPABLE?".......now, that may get some normal guys attention....but, to us it's a dumb question...<<gggg>>

BTW I'm still the same guy...far from being a celeb.......just quite a bit richer since this week really pushed us all up there...

Once again Dell is surprising to the upside....

Best, Kemble.
