>>Three quick points:

Now Colin, if you call these "quick points" you're making
it easier to pick a fight <G>. I really hope you understand
I'm kidding about the fight -- this is what I would call
a "knowlegdeable discussion," through which, BTW, I'm not only
getting great enjoyment but also education via glimpses
into a world which I have only had conjectures about.
Maybe you're getting a small bit of education too by glimpses
into a flat tax guy with no ax to grind?

Well, that's
the way I think of myself, anyhow. Feel free to refute it;
but back it up <G>. Other than the flat-tax ax, of course;
that's like your CPA ax. Let's take them for granted.
Incidentally, you've refuted the perception that CPAs oppose
the flat tax because they're afraid of losing business. You've
NEVER heard me say that, and in fact I accept your argument.
There are always the ambulance chasers in any
profession. Hell with 'em. Not worth discussing. Let's
eliminate them from the topic.

I'm going to have to beg off answering these "quick points"
at the moment, though. I have used up my alloted SI time
today (this month according to my wife <G>) and really must
be about other things. Will try to get back though; these
"quick points" shouldn't take more than a few hours to
address <ggggg>.

Best regards,

Spots
