Lumpy -- thanks for yet another tour of your home planet.

>> There is an oversupply of portable memory products right now. <<

-try thinking of next generation, cross platform fully integrated portable devices. Increased portability, enhanced ease of use, lower cost, flexibiltiy - customization, etc.

>> Folks, due to the laws of physics, any disc drive like Vapor! will be less reliable, have lower endurance, and use more power than a solid state device like Flash. <<

yada, yada, yada....... the only question that matters is whether or not there is a mass consumer market niche for the cost/performance parameters of Clik! Research seems to indicate that there certainly is. You don't think so. Yammer away all you want about it. We'll know for certain soon enough. And, please explain again why the Mavica digital camera with the 3.5 disk storage really isn't as popular as all the tests and reports say it is.

>> Vapor! is just plain D.O.A. <<

Are you referring to Sony's Hi-Fud?

Rocky, I agree with you on this. Mechanical device is not as reliable as electronics, especially if used in travelling environment.

Please let me know where can I get a removable flash with large memory space to replace zip. I need one.

>>why no OEM's have bought vapor!<<

Brilliant deductions, Rocky! Of course most potential OEM's have just recently received their qualification drives, but that's beside the point. They should already know it's worthless. Haven't they been reading your posts?

Some real losers are climbing the ladder to the highest platform and haven't looked down yet to see that the pool is empty. You should consider shorting NEC and Citizen since they have yet to realize that they are gearing up to produce a drive that no one will want.
