If Apple were to hit $60 this year and $100 the next, they'd continue to hold the belief that Apple can't survive and harp on any negative nuggets they can find.

Now, where else have I seen that steadfast holding to one's position, in spite of all evidence to the contrary?

(There was a time when Apple bulls here routinely denied that Apple's marketshare was falling, that AppleOS was buggy and sorely needing an upgrade, that the Macs were effectively slower than PCs, and priced uncompetitively, that Amelio wasn't cutting deep enough, that exponential would never work, that Apple "loyal customers" were actually locked-in with little choice, and so on.)
