Paul:

I haven't changed my profile in years, so I wouldn't take much from WIND, NKE, INTC. I haven't owned Nike or Intel in years.

WIND continues to be the best single investment in the world. Go to the WIND thread if you would like a more detailed account of their business model.

As for other ideas, it depends upon your time frame. Quite frankly, this market is so overheated, I see a lot better shorts now than longs. Two possible longs:

ASND: Has successfully weathered the storm, and appears to be consolidating their ATM switch niche. Still a potential takeover candidate for the likes or Lucent and Nortel as well.

NSCP: Not really a great company, but given the runup in net stocks, seems like Netscape is well positioned. The move to centralize content should give them a boost in market perception. And of all the content aggregators, NSCP has some real technology behind them.

As for your Winstar points, they have done much in the way of roof rights, licenses, etc. But, financially is what counts. My main point all along has been the reliance on Vogel's numbers.

Wouldn't we all feel better, long and short, if we really knew what was driving his assumptions?

Regards,
