Most shorting of BB stocks is naked. They don't need shares to short, they just do it. It is illegal, done off shore or in Canada, and complaints to the SEC usually result in trading halts of the stock. The short slime that do this bet that their manic selling causes further panic and that there will always be legitimate shares to buy when they need/desire to cover. Most of the time it works out fine for them. Plaintiff eligibility in a Class Action usually covers a time frame broad enough to include people who no longer own the stock. Their award of damages, if any, is usually computed as their losses as a percentage of total losses times the net award amount(after legal fees and other expenses). Computation of total losses is often difficult to determine and is usually reached by jury award or compromise among the parties. Can't answer Q#3 or 4, but this isn't/wasn't more fun than school. Reply to TG: Sorry, I messed up what I meant to say. I do think that this is more fun that school. But what I meant by "LET's HAVE FUN" was that, we only live once, and it is only money (just paper). SO why not have fun???? I personally enjoy going through these experiences. They teach me a lot more that school has been (I know everything that teacher has said for the last 2 weeks). And an education is priceless, so I've heard. So, even if I do lose, then I came out on top still. Just my .02, Fatt Matt
