To All,

We just received and installed our Jaz2. It is on a Pentium 266 using Windows NT4.0. So far we have used it to back up the hard drive. The transfer rate was about 1.7 Mb/second. The SCSI card is capable of 6 Mb/sec., and the Jaz2 is capable of about 8 Mb/sec. I am not sure why the back-up is going so much slower. Any advice to improve this? This is my first experience with a SCSI device, so it may not be optimized.

Other than the speed, the installation was without incident. We bought the Jaz2 for digital picture archiving.

James, I do not own SEEK nor do I know anything about the co. Recently Rocky said he shorted SEEK. It seems that whenever he shorts a stock it goes up. I was reading the URL that I referred to in my post and that's what it said, $60 by the end of May. I thought it would bug the hell out of Rocky if I posted that because he's always posting spam about IOM. Check the SEEK thread for more info. I also think Trufflette posted something on it in the last day or so. I'm afraid to invest in internet stocks and if I did my husband would have a bigger fit than he did when I bought IOM. SR

>Sheila - SEEK at $60 by end of May? Do you have more information on this recommendation? <<

Sounds more like a desperation attempt by a sucker who bought SEEK at $45, and is now dealing with a 33% haircut.
