Hi Michael - A good summary by both you and Haim regarding blown opportunities by so called "industry" leaders or perhaps just an excellent plan neatly implemented by MicroSoft.

Here is another interesting observation that I agree with but I am still not clear how it will all eventually shake out. I still see SUNW and IBM as excellent partners long term. Also, keep your eye on CISCO and Lucent as other major players to watch when the end game eventually begins.

As the link suggested, there will be quite a bit more consolidations as the enterprise infrastructure matures. I believe SUNW is one of those companies that offer a good risk reward profile. I find their fundamental valuation (PE and growth history) attractive and their technology development record better than average.


Only time will tell if SUNW "...May have blown an incredible opportunity...". This investor continues to remain bullish.
