Any thoughts on the impact of this week's RNWK conference in San Francisco? Likely they will use the opportunity to make new announcements. They have been hinting at some advancements in their video streaming technology.

Advertising and Media Management Services

SEATTLE, April 24 /PRNewswire/ -- RealNetworks (Nasdaq: RNWK), the

media management company, today announced they are teaming up to promote the
advantages of rich media advertising to Internet advertisers. RealNetworks
will promote Avenue A Media's Internet media management services to its

Rich media advertising has proven to generate significantly higher brand
awareness and response. A one year analysis of 57 different audio enhanced
banner and streaming media ad campaign results, measured using NetGravity and
DoubleClick software, showed that average click through rates for audio
enhanced banners and AV streaming ads were 5% and 5.89% respectively, with
some audio enhanced banners reaching up to a 30% clickthrough. On average,
this is 5 to 6 times higher than the industry average response rate for banner
ads at approximately the same CPMs.
