This post is just chocked full of stuff to respond to: <<,I told my wife of my morning. She just shook her head in disbelief. She was amazed that someone would share such information with basicaly a stranger.>> Why do I find the above statement rather amusing? I take it she has not seen the place you post to. <g> Here, we are all strangers (some more than most, granted) and the things people find to talk about or reveal about themselves to one another . . . well, you know where I'm going with this, right? Sounds like you had a good time. When I first moved to the area, I room mated with a close (once) friend of mine in a place called Bella Vista. It is pretty much the type of community where you said you went to play golf. Bella Vista has about 9 golf courses, a couple of which are laid out parallel to 71 Hiway. One time, this friend and I decided we would just go down a play awhile (uh, we must have forgotten to pay). We no sooner hit off the tee box when this guy comes along and tells us the course was closed. "And by the way guys, if you don't have a membership, you're trespassing". Oh, well since you put it that way.... S.J. and I would like to go to a place which sounds quite similar to the kind of place you and your wife went for our 10th anniversary. The place is called, "The Big Cedar Lodge" near Branson,MO and the rooms run about $180 a night. They have tennis, fishing, golf, horseback riding, walking trails, the works. We went and visited one afternoon before my wife got called back to work. It is a very beautiful place. We've been saving for the event with savings bonds. Hoping to spend more than just one night there. :) The SLC adventure was pretty much over after leaving CO Springs. I got off of the bus at Ft. Hays to visit with some people I had met before dropping out of college there the semester before. Mark, an artist from St. Louis, lived in one of those homes which had been turned into an appartment. The appartment next to his was a studio appartment and had been vacant for awhile. I crashed in a vacant appartment that night. The next night, I bummed a ride with an aquaintence of his girlfriend back to Hutchinson, KS where another very good friend gave me a ride home. I even turned in the unused portion of the bus ticket to get some money back. Took six weeks, but I got something. Better hit the hay, Mike
