Thanks for the response. I read your message on the APM thread. I may disagree with your statement concerning --Long term demand will continue to decline. I agree only to the extent that demand may decline to a certain point but definitely not into single digits (I know that you never mentioned single digits:)).

Below is a site for the forecast of Computer and office equipment demand for the next few years:

They mention a growth rate of I believe 35-40% over the last three years and a growth rate over the next 1.5 years in the high 20s. I also just read (sorry but I can't recall the web site - it may have been in last month's electronic business magazine on the net) that although sales decline in late 97 early 98 in Asia by approximately 5%, China increased their orders (or the sales to China) by approximately 40%.

Anyway, thanks for response and you are unfortunately right about the trend of fewer heads and platters in disk drives.
