watch the interest rates as well.

we are above 6% now..

from briefing.com

12:00 ET DJIA -146, Nasdaq -51, S&P -22.20: Today's
broad-based decline in the equity market has been triggered
by a Wall Street Journal article stating that the Fed shifted
back to a tightening bias at its last FOMC meeting, and may
raise interest rates in the months ahead... From the opening
bell, the indices have traded sharply lower with
rate-sensitive and technology stocks leading the
retreat... DJIA, however, is off of its lows of the session as
an earlier 184-point drop has prompted some light bargain
hunting... Nevertheless, today's tone is decidedly negative
as evidenced by the lack of leadership and extremely weak
breadth figures... 27 of the 30 Dow components are in
negative territory... American Express (AXP +1 1/8) the
big winner following unconfirmed report that it is in merger
talks with AIG... Conversely, J.P. Morgan (JPM -3 1/2) tops
the list of losers... As to be expected, talk of an interest
rate hike weighing heavily on the bond market...
Currently, the long bond is off more than a point and is
yielding 6.04%... DJTA -79.47... DJUA -4.01.
