I haven't posted anything about Motorola must be another David Stern. I did notice when I signed up that the name dstern was already taken...

The "tahles" is that valuation in the market can get both ahead of and behind where the company is really worth. The best stocks are the growth companies which the market valuation hasn't yet caught up with. They are the real growth stocks. I argue that Microsoft and Dell are growth companies but valuations have gotten ahead of what theya re truly worth. The growth stock/growth company thing is I think from the famous paper by Modigliani and Miller in 1961 on stock price valuation - I'll double check that.
