< Do you know the costs of use for INCA? >

MB Trading at their site show the following ECN Charges

ADDITIONAL ECN FEES

Bloomberg (BTRD) 1.5 cents per share
Instinet (INCA) 1.0 cents per share
Island (ISLD) No Charge
Archipelago (TNTO) No Charge

I believe that they said they are just passing on these charges without marking them up.

Re: "One tech stock I frequently monitor only trades 200-300K per day and it seems GSCO and BTRD are the most active."

One way to check this is to see how many shares are traded by each MM -- you can find that here:
nasdaqtrader.com

I rarely see an ECN with a volume of more than 1%. What you could be seeing is scalpers coat-tailing GSCO...
