LT,
What fact was wrong? You claimed I was wrong but offered nothing to prove it. Put up or shut up.

LT,
You were right. I got a fact wrong. According to Time Magazine ( pathfinder.com ) OPEC controls 55% of global oil production. I said it was 40%. But my incorrect source was you. John used the 40% figure first but you know SO much about the oil business I assumed you would have corrected him if he was wrong. From your own typing fingers...

I think your views on OPEC are a bit complacent and a bit inaccurate. Controling 40%
of the world's supply is more than enough mkt control to drive up prices. If things get
bad enough, they'll do it. COUNT ON IT!
