Amen Gregor, God's word says "The truth will set you free"

This is the freedom everyone is seeking, but looking for in all the wrong places. The pleasures of this world sought after for one's own vanity and to exalt oneself as the God of your own life are slavery.

You can never have enough, fame, fortune and glory to be happy, you always need more. John Belushi, Jimi Hendrix, and Curt Kobain are dying proof of this. All flamed out at the top of their game.

Understanding that our all powerful, omniscient Father in Heaven Knows Best and to seek His counsel and advice in all things is the beginning of real freedom.

The devil is a liar - Janis Joplin got her mercedes benz and a death sentence along with it.

Seek Him,
bobby b.

THank you Gregor, for a courteous and truthful answer.
All of SI knows by now that freedom is very important to me. Freedom to choose. Freedom to live life one's own way. Freedom of speech, property rights, weapons ownership, religion etc etc and so on.
I know I am free to sin or not and to follow Jesus or not. These other freedoms are as important to me, because it is life experiencing every day that I know. If you criticize that, so be it.
There are many Christians that are Libertarians, by the way. They recognize that God wants them to be free in all ways, not just free to reject sin.
Best wishes.
What a crazy day on the market, isnt it?

Dear Gregor,
The only thing that I disagree with is putting the ten commandments in the same sentence as society's laws.
God is perfect. Man is imperfect. Dictators stink. Lately our Congress and our president do not obey our fine basic law, the Constitution. Most laws we now have on the books are wrong, need not be obeyed, and in fact all of us break laws every day...there are so many and they are so confusing there is no way you could be obeying them unless you locked yourself in a room.
