xDSL has just not been in the mainstream of investor "popular" interest.

From today's CHICAGO TRIBUNE:

WELL CONNECTED

...One goal of the Lucent-Westell alliance is to produce a technology platform that will accommodate ADSL standards that an industry group is now developing. ADSL equipment made by any company should work with the network in a way that is invisible to users.

"From our standpoint, interoperability is a must," said Jose Gomez, Westell's director of global alliances.

Gomez said he expects the Lucent-Westell switch upgrades will be ready to market by the end of this year.
