Pat: Just a short post off topic ------ I'm on a borrowed computer right now away from my office. Thanks to Kevin, Gersh, Glen, Dom, and others who have expressed concern about my stockbrokers son ( age 7 btw ). After just getting off the phone with him, here is the current situation----- >> brain surgery was successful, bone chip removed and membrane repair completed. kid is resting fairly well in ICU, only complaint is neck pain,( which is hoped to be strain from fall), yet to be addressed. no expected eyesight loss. partial, hoped to be not 100%, loss of sense of smell, which I just now find out is a result of brain surgery and rupture of membrane holding cranial fluid. arm repaired with no problems. so, to quote his dad----"everything is going as well as can be expected " more cat scan and mri to be done in the next few days. Everyone please say a prayer for the kid........ Off topic on a more pleasant subject-- my sis's ex husband was base commander in mid 80s at Mrytle Beach AFB , or what ever the official name is, and had high words of praise for the entire area, but said the golfering was top notch...... good luck and if you keep the ball in the short mowed stuff, hit it straight, and sink the putts, you'll do well......ggggggggg I still stand by my observation early this morning-------can't believe the drop in the SPX is not more extreme .... with the news that Fed is gonna tighten, I would expect that the drop would have been much more------AND I know it's not over yet ----AND I know, etc etc,.......gggggg still suprises me it's not worse, and maybe it could be something to look at and consider........
