All. Pharmaceutical stock investors. PFE, Merck and Dell.

I hope some of you got the tail end of that Viagra discussion on MSNBC. At the onset of that discussion a user was asked if the pill had worked for him. He said he felt like he was 25 again ( in other words not quite like in his prime gg) I think he was around 50. Most important thing about this pill is that a checkup by a doctor is a must. Liver, cholesterol, hypertension, heart problems can or will cause problems. Side effects so far are minimal. Flushing, stomach irritation, sometimes color changes are known side effects in some users. All in all it looks like this drug and therefore PFE have a long way to go.

All our Pharmas are down today. I did want to make a comment about Merck. I am hearing all over the place that Merck is maturing. Some of the patents are coming off but this happens to all cos. Merck has a great pipeline the way I heard it and Merck is supposed to come out with a blockbuster pain killer sometime this year which is not supposed to cause stomach upsets like some of the other painkillers. Anyway, to say that Merck is maturing is to say that when you are 20 you will be 30 soon. All cos. are maturing but when you spent for R&D you can rejuvenate. And Merck is one of the biggest R&D spenders. The pharmas will come back. No matter how the economy or interest rates, people do not get younger.

P.S. Article on Dell. Must have spooked Dell investors. If this keeps up I may venture into more Dell.
