Only two islands of green in the red sea of my portfolio today, and they are both oil service stocks: CRLBF and TDW. Perhaps that's cause for optimism, but I am not sure.

Baird, out of sheer curiosity, I ran a number of different searches this morning, to see who/what was doing better/worse. I ran sector searches; searches of high-momentum stocks, undervalued stocks, etc., etc. Personally, I did not see any pattern at all. Looked like an indiscriminate slaughter to me. I would like to believe that we will see "some movement of funds from some of the more notably overvalued areas of the market to those considered relatively undervalued," but to really believe it, I would also have to believe (which I don't) that The Market is rational.

Sometimes, looking at some excellent, but languishing, stocks I have in my portfolio, I am convinced that The Market operates on the "Fell principle."

I do not love thee, Dr. Fell,
The reason why I cannot tell;
But this alone I know full well,
I do not love thee, Dr. Fell.
