I'm new to SEEK as an investor and poster, but not new to SI. While I wholeheartedly agree that the forum lends itself to gross abuse, I don't believe there is any risk that what is posted here will affect the stock. In fact, I think the prime reason we see so many obscene and vitriolic posts is that many believe they can actually make a difference and are fearful of those who hold opposite opinions/goals. Some actually believe that if I short 100 or 1,000 or 10,000 shares, their long position is in jeopardy. Let's be realistic...SEEK trades MILLIONS of shares a day. I will bet no one who posts on this board has the resources to influence the stock one penny. I'll also bet that, in the aggregate, the impact of ALL posters is equally nil. The ones who move this stock have better things to do than trade insults with the little guys.

I am a big SI fan. I use it to get a general feel for a company. Its also a good factual source when a poster actually has good access to a company. I would never make a buy or sell decision based on SI, however. Since most have to pay to post, it is a tad more reliable than many of the YAHOOS on YAHOO.

While I am pontificating, don't you think its sad the way folks hide behind computer communication. Most of us would not think of being so rude, insulting, vulgar and obscene to people we just met if we were communicating face to face.

Sorry my first SEEK post is so long and so OT.

Tom

<OT> cm, tk, gene, law, jonathan, charles, pacman et al: been out of town for a week. Still own every share - all 5 of them. Earnings looked quite nice. Profitability by Q3? Q2?? The server software licensing now accounts for 12% of sales... We thought we'd hit 30 by June. What's the revised estimate?
