Thanks Tulvio. Haven't bought PTEN yet. Looking for you, the critic. What about the discrepancy with UTI? I'm confused on that one.

Tulvio....Still not sure where your Zacks info came from & why Yahoo Zacks is different. however the overall selloff just hit 2nd gear and that's reason enough not to buy today!

Gee, I can't even go away for a few days without things falling apart.

Tulvio: If I'm not mistaken, Zacks uses some momentum-based black box for its buy/sell indicator and is usually way behind the curve. I don't believe the Zacks signal has any correlation to the analyst recommendations which Zacks tracks (for better or worse). Also, I'd bet Ron's stochastics would show oversold in 2 or 3 days even if the osx remains flat or goes slightly higher. We are already down 8 or 9% in just a few days, so as the weighting of the lower price levels increases relative to the previous higher price levels, the stochastics will come down. But I do think it is premature to take a full position in PTEN (or almost anything else). If anyone is looking to buy in today, a partial position is probably the best bet. Also, on days like this, we often get a downdraft near the close. And, there is a good chance Asia and Europe will be down big overnight, whch could lead to more futures related selling in this market tomorrow.

Rick: Guinness?!! On a Texas oil rig?! OK, I like Guinness as much as the next guy, but it seems out of place. I guess I have this different picture of Texas in my mind (never actually been there). (Hey, at least I didn't say Guinness ain't beer!)
