Eddie,

You ignore the news. The news says that CPQ sales to the channel are up but the sales are not going to the end user. This leads to the inescapable conclusion that CPQ is stuffing the channel again. This is why they will not be reporting any profits to speak of for the first half year of business. You seem to be ignoring this news!

The Ashok Kumar news simply says that CPQ is booking its Q3 orders with Intel and that these orders are up from last year. If it were not for this channel stuffing, I would view this as good news. However, I expect that CPQ will continue its bad habits and hope that Q3 and Q4 will rescue their financials from what looks to be a disasterous year.

If you have something to say to me, I will listen provided you have facts to backup your opinions. So far I have only seen opinions from you. You respond but you really do not address the issues on the table.

Eddie, Jim says how he see it. It happens to be how I see things more times then not. He is to the point and honest.

I think we could use more frequent post from Jim.

It always come down to someone taking cheap shots at someone trying to make a point. Disagree with him if you want but stick to the issues.

Pat

No Eddie, it's true. People do have a very high opinion of Jim, and deservedly so. His positions are always well thought out and clearly reasoned. I've had very few disagreements with Jim (the only one I can think of offhand was about flooding the US markets with cheap Asian imports) and he has always argued from fact. This man has earned my respect.

Eddie, you shouldn't value your own opinion so much. The thread is right to listen to Jim K.
