Also, can anybody tell me where the x2 gets it's chips
from? I think it's TI...

Yep TI is the supplier. In the past the Megahertz &reg brand modems used ROK Cheap &reg chips but I'm not sure if they still do.

Computer Networking - Updated: 28-Apr-98

Brief: Networkers held up well given the lousy market tone...
Only stocks to post declines of more than one point were Ascend
(-1 9/16) and Cisco Systems (-1 1/2)... Recent winners such as FORE
and Xircom also succumbed to light profit-taking.

o 3 Com represents a "safe haven" for investors
should market continue to slide, as stock
close to low end of 5-month trading range...
Downside risk minimal as bad news reflected
in price... To the contrary, at first sign
that business conditions are improving stock
likely to emerge from hibernation...
In other words, now might be a good time for
investors holding ASND (up 64.8% year to date)
to roll into COMS... Upside breakout from
trading range would leave stock well position
for intermediate term test of mid-to upper-40s.
