The ATAPI Zip is such a device that will sit on shelves because most users are not familiar with taking a plastic case off a computer to do anything. This should serve as a warning to those banking on non-techie types all of a sudden "coming around," and adopting certain technologies en masse. Vapor! is such a technology that will sell at first to a few techies and Iomega investors, then...nothing.
